'Allo Autumn

I'm so glad we had a lovely summer this year because blimey didn't autumn come around quick! Last week I was in shorts and now i'm packing them away for thick tights and big coats.

I can't say i'm overly depressed about the situation though because October to December is probably my favourite time of the year! Bonfire night, Halloween, my birthday, Christmas and New Years! Plus all the winter fashions, exciting times!

It'll be a different story come January but that's future Alex's problem...

Here's today's outfit, I dared to bare without tights but I'm wearing a midi skirt so it's a compromise, there isn't snow on the ground yet!

Skirt and Bag - Vintage, Flatforms - H&M (old), Jacket - Dorothy Perkins (old), Jumper - eBay

Holiday Outfits Part Deux

One day into work i'm already yearning for another holiday, I fear it may be quite a while until I have another one! Here are the rest of my planned verses actual outfit images, my jelly shoes from eBay were the main choice of footwear for the holiday and I was shocked at how comfy they were. You can get a pair from eBay here!

Day 1:

 Day 2:

Day 3:

Day 4:

This last outfit wasn't a planned one but turned out to be my favourite of the holiday! I felt very french popping out in the morning to get baguettes in this ensemble!

Holiday Outfits

Last week I was lucky enough to go away with my lovely boyfriend to Southern Brittany in France. We spent the week sailing and of course, I packed the most practical and sensible outfits, but then I changed my mind and went for fashion over practicality!

I thought I would do a few posts showing my planned outfit verses reality. This holiday I was pretty good at packing only what I needed to wear and sticking to it! Mostly because I didn't have a choice. We were driving 11 hours in an Aygo and packing 8 different outfits per day really wasn't an option!

Being a terrible blogger I forgot my battery charger for my camera so all the photos were taken on Ollie's iphone! So apologies for the lack of professional photography!

Travelling home:

 Expectations vs. Reality

Travelling to France:

...Well actually there is no proper reality outfit shot on the first day as we were too excited to think about that! But this was the outfit I wore driving out

More coming tomorrow!

Pintrest is my Interest!

PANIC OVER! I found my passport - After searching through boxes upon boxes of my 'between moving' worldly possessions, I found my passport in a old draw in my room. Why was it there? I don't know!

Anyway! In lieu of an outfit post, I thought I would write about my go to inspiration for what to wear. You know, on those days where when you're staring at a wardrobe crammed full of clothes crying "I have nothing to wear!"

I seriously don't know what I used to do before Pintrest.
A friend of mine is getting married in a matter of weeks and recently she mentioned to me that she has no idea how someone planned a wedding before Pintrest! And it's true! I'm sure i'm not the only one out there who is far from marriage, yet already has their whole wedding pinned onto a board on Pintrest....

Photos sourced from Pintrest

It's as easy as "I want to wear my leather shorts but I have not got a clue what to team it with" search 'leather shorts' and boom! Inspiration galore!
I wouldn't have thought to team up a checked shirt with a tulle skirt but now I'm scouring eBay for a tulle skirt so I can throw a casual outfit together!

Don't get me wrong, Lookbook is still amazing for checking out what bloggers are wearing and for up and coming trends, but for a quick and easy way to get inspired? Pintrest.

Lost: One Passport

Skirt - New Look, Heels - Mango (old), Bag - Boohoo (similar here!), Sunglasses - eBay
Michael Kors lookalike Watch - eBay, Top - Vintage Shop

I've lost my passport. Recently I moved from Wales back to Hertfordshire/London area and my life is still in boxes between my boyfriends place and my parents! I've searched high and low for my passport and cannot find it anywhere!
This poses a problem as this time next month, Ollie (my boyfriend) and I are supposed to be driving down to the Bay of Biscay in France to spend a week on a boat - but no passport, no holiday!! And it's a well needed holiday, I haven't had one for about 5 years since I was 18 and went to Ibiza for a very drunken week

What has my lost passport got to to with this outfit post? Well this is one of the outfits i've planned to wear on holiday whilst pretending to live the high life in Marinas! When in reality i'll most likely be in shorts and converses the whole time as unless you're on a mega 'Jay Z' style yacht, heels and flowy skirts are far from practical

Have you seen my passport?

Sunglasses - eBay, T-Shirt - Polar band tee, Skort - eBay, Bag and Shoes - Zara (In store sales)

WARNING - Over exposed ghostly legs!

I seem to be living in skorts these days, with this hot weather they're perfect! Wearing one of my favourite band tees and with a nod to the 90s, I thought i'd style my outfit up with a 'Kurt Cobain' style tied shirt.
I bagged these amazing silver sandals in the Zara sale this weekend, they've taken over the number 1 spot as my favourite shoes (sorry white stilettos!) They're most likely going to be making an appearance in my next few outfit posts!
